Apollo could not compute a return to earth maneuver on board. All lunar maneuvers were computed on the ground & then Capcom read them up to the crew. During 8, 2 TEI maneuvers were read up every pass in case of a comm failure. Photo is my readup pad for #Apollo8 ‘s TEI. pic.twitter.com/OzFGGra7jN
